Twinkle

This body made flesh and bone and cartilage,
Cracks and folds, bends with time and wear.
Think beyond the skin.
A beautiful smile glows from within.

Atoms forged from galactic cataclysm,
Starlight in our blood,
We are luminescent, the briefest light—
Shining for a millisecond across infinite night.
